Artists show their solidarity with Ukraine
I recently participated in an impactful initiative where artists showcased their solidarity with Ukraine through their art. On September 19, 2022, a summary of the action was featured, highlighting the collective efforts of street artists in Gdańsk to express their support for Ukraine amidst the ongoing conflict.
During this initiative, 30 anti-war murals were unveiled at the “Gdańsk Jasień” PKM station as part of the “Solidarity with Ukraine” campaign. The project aims to complete around 50 artworks, each serving as a powerful statement against war and in support of peace.

My contribution, an anti-war graffiti piece, was among those displayed, standing as a testament to the art community’s united stance against the atrocities of war. The event not only showcased the artworks but also brought together the creators behind these powerful messages, including myself. The Pomeranian Voivodeship Marshal and the Ukrainian Consul were also present to witness this display of solidarity, further emphasizing the importance of our collective voice in these troubling times.
Katarzyna Tuszynska provided a detailed report on the event, capturing the essence and impact of our collective artistic expressions. This initiative is a reminder of the strength found in unity and the significant role art plays in advocating for peace and justice.
